left;">「風」というグループで発表した曲だ。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">先日、週刊文春を何気なく読んでいたら、</div><div style="text-align: left;">「阿川佐和子のこの人に会いたい・第912回」で</div><div style="text-align: left;">伊勢正三との対談が載っていたのだ。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">伊勢正三　1951年生まれ。</div><div style="text-align: left;">大分出身、高校時代に南こうせつと知り合い、</div><div style="text-align: left;">71年に南こうせつ、山田パンダと「かぐや姫」を結成。</div><div style="text-align: left;">「かぐや姫」時代に作詞・作曲した代表作に</div><div style="text-align: left;">誰もが知る「なごり雪」「22才の別れ」がある。</div><div style="text-align: left;">「かぐや姫」解散後に大久保一久と「風」を結成した。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">週刊文春の阿川佐和子との対談の中で</div><div style="text-align: left;">当時の日本のフォークソングに関する応答があり、</div><div style="text-align: left;">その行き着く最終的な着地点を伊勢正三は語っていた。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">最初にアメリカからフォークソングが流れてきた頃は</div><div style="text-align: left;">ボブ・ディランに代表されるような</div><div style="text-align: left;">社会的メッセージが強かったものの、</div><div style="text-align: left;">いつからか日本では私小説的な身の回りの世界を歌う</div><div style="text-align: left;">叙情的なものに変化したことへの阿川佐和子の問いに対して</div><div style="text-align: left;">伊勢正三は井上陽水の「傘がない」を引き合いに出して答えていた。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">手の出しようもない社会的・政治的・宗教的な問題よりも</div><div style="text-align: left;">何よりも今、「君に逢いに行くための傘がない」ことが</div><div style="text-align: left;">一番の問題であるならば、</div><div style="text-align: left;">世の中がカオスのように色々な側面がある中で</div><div style="text-align: left;">「君に逢いに行きたい」というただそのことが</div><div style="text-align: left;">唯一無二の真理になるから。</div><div style="text-align: style="text-align: left;">中学一年生だった頃、</div><div style="text-align: left;">近所の大学院生が開いていた塾に私は通っていたことがある。</div><div style="text-align: left;">その大学院生の先生は自分の寝床兼教室で授業に際して</div><div style="text-align: left;">ほとんど勉強を教えてくれたことはなかった。</div><div style="text-align: left;">教えてくれたのはどうやって遊ぶか、</div><div style="text-align: left;">どうすれば遊んでるように勉強できるか、ということと</div><div style="text-align: left;">自分の好きなギターの弾き語りばかりだった。</div><div style="text-align: left;">先生はいつも「かぐや姫」を歌っていた。</div><div style="text-align: left;">だから私がギターを弾くようになり最初に歌い始めたのも</div><div style="text-align: left;">「かぐや姫」や「風」の曲だった。</div><div style="text-align: left;">それが「ビートルズ」や「ローリングストーズ」だったら</div><div style="text-align: left;">きっと今日のこの記事はなかっただろうね(笑)。</div><div style="text-align: left;">ちなみに「かぐや姫」の中でも</div><div style="text-align: left;">「さぁ〜肩を組もう〜さぁ〜一緒に〜」と大はしゃぎで</div><div style="text-align: left;">いつもライヴで語りかける南こうせつよりも、</div><div style="text-align: left;">言葉少なに淡々と歌い進めるナイーブな感じの</div><div style="text-align: left;">伊勢正三が好きだったな。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">まぁいいか、とにかくラブソングは</div><div style="text-align: left;">強く希望に溢れる曲でなく淡い曲も悲しい曲も</div><div style="text-align: left;">いつの時代にも強烈な影響力があるということだ。</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />忙しくて時間がなかった。<br />いや時間を気にする暇がなかった。<br />そんな中、私が向かい合っていたのは<br />心に被った靄のようなものだ。<br />迷っている振りをするもう一人の自分が<br />無意識に淡々と変化の様子に没頭しようと<br />試みる最中で<br />歌うべきであろうとする自分が<br />没頭するもう一人の自分に訴えかけようとする。<br />そのやり取りの中で発生する心の靄に<br />向かい合っていた。<br /><br />どんなに恥に塗れようが<br />一生懸命やれば必ず伝わるものが<br />これまであったじゃないか、<br />一生懸命になれないことこそを恥じるべきだ、<br />そう訴えかけている。<br /><br /><br /><br />でも、さすがに疲れた。<br />今日は疲れたよ。<br />インド・ラジャスターン州、アジメール近郊に<br />ヒンドゥ聖地プシュカルがある。<br />そのプシュカルで祭のある日は<br />両面バチ打ち大太鼓の音がそこかしこに響く。<br /><br />これがラジャスターン・ドールだ。<br />バチと手のひらを使ってタブラのような音を<br />こすり出すことはなく、<br />ただ、ひたすらに叩き続ける。<br />ど真ん中、直球勝負のようなそれもまたいい。<br /><br />夜になるとサドゥ達がざわつき始め<br />煙りが炊かれる頃、ジプシー達が踊り始める。<br />彼らの叫びに耳を疑った。<br /><br />彼らは確かにこう叫んでいたのだ。<br /><br />ジュレラール！！<br />ジュレラール！！<br />ジュレラール！！<br /><br />砂漠の向こう、<br />国境の先はパキスタン・シンド州だ。<br /><br />私はその叫びを聞いて嬉しくて嬉しくて・・。<br />rabiyaと人目も気にせず踊り始めた。<br />すぐに人集りができた。<br />私とrabiyaが起爆剤になったのか、<br />地元のインド人もジプシーも旅行者も<br />誰も彼も皆で踊り始めた。<br /><br />インドのプジャはどんな人であろうが<br />パキスタン・スーフィーにおける偉大なる聖者、<br />聖者Lal Shahbaz Qalandarのウルスの後、<br />神に命を預けた者達が、<br />Lal Baghから聖者の軌跡を追いかけて<br />シンド州からバローチスターン州をまたぎ、<br />Shah Bilawal Noorani聖者廟へ続く<br />砂漠の巡礼へと歩き始める。<br /><br /><br />2008年の巡礼で私は一人の偉大なるDhol(両面バチ打ち大太鼓)奏者と出逢った。<br />その男はグジュランワラ産の大きなDholの他には<br />小さな布包みと数本のペットボトルと傘だけを携え<br />砂漠の荒野を歩いていた。<br /><br />グジュランワラ産のDholは聖者廟でよく見かけるDholよりも<br />一回り大きくて重い。<br />さらにそのDholは両面皮張りだった。<br />私がラホールでDhol奏者に弟子入りした９年前は<br />ほとんどのDholは両面皮張りだったが、<br />数年経つ間に両面皮張りのDholは少なくなり、<br />皮の代わりにプラスティックの張られたDholが多くなった。<br />皮よりも安く、また季節に関わらずメンテナンスも楽だったのだ。<br />消耗の激しい演奏をするうえで季節に応じて皮の状態を保ち、<br />サウンドコンディションをもコントロールすることは<br />簡単ではないのだ。<br />しかしながら両面プラスティック張りのDholの音は軽く<br />重量感と深みに欠けるということもあり、<br />やがて見かけるDholの多くは高音面にプラスティック、<br />低音面に皮を張ったものに変わって行った。<br /><br />男は乾燥した砂漠地帯でオアシスで汲んだ水を<br />自分が飲むよりも皮のメンテナンスのために使い、<br />照りつける太陽からDholを守るために傘をさしながら<br />巡礼の路で毎日、朝昼晩とDholを演奏して歩いていた。<br /><br />それだけではない。<br />大きなオアシスに辿り着くとそれまで一緒に<br />砂漠の荒野を移動してきた羊の一頭を潰して食する<br />他の巡礼者から羊の皮をもらい、その後の移動の最中に<br />毛を抜き、少しずつ薄く削ぎ落とし、叩き、鞣しながら<br />太鼓用の皮に加工することもしていたのだ。<br /><br />何回か簡単な手伝いをさせてもらったが、<br />重要な工程はなかなか見せてもらえなかった。<br />そう簡単に誰にでも教えてくれるわけではない。<br />それぞれが守り大切に受け継がれた流儀があるからだ。<br /><br />自分の喉が渇いているのに水を飲まず、<br />皮に水を飲ませてしまったその男に<br />私は自分の水を差し出した。<br />次のオアシスまではまだかなり遠い山の上でのことだ。<br />他の巡礼者は前方に斜面を下る数人と<br />後方に斜面を登る数人が小さい粒のように見えるだけだった。<br /><br />飲めよ、と差し出したボトルの水を<br />喉を鳴らして二口飲んでから息をつき、<br />男は礼を言いながら微笑んだ。<br />想えばその男の笑顔を初めて見たことに気づく。<br />男が残してくれた最後の一口の水を飲みながら<br />私も笑った。<br /><br />まだ次まで遠いのに飲み干しちまったなぁ、<br />そんな想いが笑いとなったのだ。<br /><br />それが何を意味するのか？<br /><br />水はもうない。<br />まわりには他の巡礼者もいない。<br />このままのペースが続けば<br />もし一人で何かで倒れたらどうなるのか？<br />全力で乗り切るしかない、もう命を運を預けるしかない。<br /><br />男が先に行けと促す。<br />重いグジュランワラのDholを担いで傘をさしながら<br />お前のペースと同じようには歩けない、と言う。<br />私は一人、歩き始めた。<br />太鼓の音が響き始める。ダンマール・ビートだ。<br />私を送り出すためだけに男が演奏してくれている。<br />私はダンマール・ステップを踏み、<br />山の上で空を見上げたまま旋回した。<br /><br />勇気が湧いてきた。<br /><br />私が次のオアシスに辿り着いてから約２時間後くらいに<br />男が太鼓を叩きながらオアシスに到着した。<br />その晩、焚き火の大きな火柱の傍らで<br />男は自分のDholを私が演奏することを許してくれた。<br />私にとって掛け替えのないひと時だった。　<br /><br /><br />Jhoole Lal <br />Qalandar />まとわりつくような<br />忙しさにまみれた一週間だった。<br />頼まれている原稿にも手を付けられず<br />音を追いかけることもできず<br />カメラに触れることも少なかった。<br /><br />だらしのないイニシアチブの取り合いにうんざりし、<br />戸惑うことの連帯感を楽しんでいるかのような<br />上階の女達の遅い歩調にイライラしながら<br />聖者廟とは聖者の墓であり、<br />聖者廟の名はその墓に眠る聖者の名だ。<br /><br />Shah Jamalは三兄弟、<br />その兄弟の一人がShah Kamalだ。<br />もともとBaba Shah Kamalではダマール儀式は行われていなかった。<br />ラホールでの木曜日のダマール儀式といえば<br />Baba Shah Jamalが最も有名であったが、<br />聖者廟が現場になるテロ事件がパキスタン中で相次ぎ、<br />その傾向がパンジャーブでも強くなったことから<br />約一年近くBaba Shah Jamalでのダマール儀式が中止となり、<br />その間、それまでなかったBaba Shah Kamalで<br />ダマール儀式が開催されるようになった。<br /><br />今回のYouTubeはそんなBaba Shah Kamalにおける<br />2009年のダマール儀式。<br />Dhol(両面バチ打ち大太鼓)を演奏しているのは&nbsp;Gonga sain。<br />Gonga sainは先天的な聴覚障害を持ちながらも<br />ビートを振動で捉えるという神業で弟のMithu sainと<br />聖者廟をはじめ各国の海外公演においてDholを演奏している。<br /><br /><br /><br />ラホール滞在中、<br />私達は楽士の弟子として時間を過ごしているが<br />大半は師匠のそばと聖者廟にいる。<br />夜だけでなく昼間も空き時間には聖者廟にいることが多いが<br />聖者廟にはいつも風が吹いている。<br />聖者の奇跡にあやかろうとする多くの人々の祈りの風、<br />スーフィーとして修行する者達の存在という表現の風、<br name='more'></a><br /><br />昨日は冷たく強い雨が降り続いた。<br />そんな雨の日ほど晴れた日を想う。<br /><br />そんな雨の日は<br />誰も空を見上げない。<br /><br />傘をさしたまま<br />見上げることもできないし、<br />傘をどけて<br />強い雨に打たれながらも<br />見上げたりしない。<br /><br />放射線が云々だ・・<br />まるで昔ながらのSF的な世界が<br />超現実であるから余計に<br />雨の日に空を見上げるなんてない。<br /><br />浴びるように雨を<br />受け止める奴なんて<br />そうそういない。<br />受け止めた奴がいたとしても<br />冷静になればよぎるものがある。<br /><br />その深刻さにおいて<br />問われるものがある。<br /><br /><br />罪悪感。<br /><br /><br />含んだ放射線を散りばめる雨の<br />事実と可能性への疑問を無視しながら<br />想定を曖昧にしたまま<br />言い訳を歌い続ける街のリーダー達が<br />無差別に自己責任を投げかける世の中。<br /><br />曖昧な事実と可能性ばかりを提示し、<br />真の事実と可能性を告げる責任を封印したことさえ<br />透けてしまう空気の中で<br />押しつけられ培養されるのが<br />やるせなさと怒りを超えた先にある<br />罪悪感だ。<br /><br />ヒトの慣れと習性をあてにした者達と<br />あてにされた者達の<br />心の在り方の一つの行方。<br /><br /><br />雪崩のような世の中の一方通行、<br />そんな世の中に慣れすぎること、<br
